That’s why we’re looking for an experienced Director of Engineering, Project Financials, to join Procore’s journey to build software that builds our world.
As Director of Engineering, Project Financials, you will lead the engineering teams that are building the tools our customers use to manage the finances of construction projects across the globe. Your teams are responsible for managing all aspects of finances for a construction project, from contracting, budgeting and forecasting, AR/AP, change management, and integration with external ERP systems. This role is crucial for Procore’s multi-year strategy in growth both in the US and globally. This role will require someone who can work across multiple disciplines, working with technical and product details as well as strategy, and partner with leaders in Product, Design, Customer Success and other Engineering groups.
This position will report to our Vice President of Engineering, Financials, out of our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with the Directors of Product,UX Design, and engineering architects to develop a strategy and plans for building Procore’s vision of an industry-leading Financials product
Streamlinepractices and processes to optimize team efficiencyto adhere toindustry best practices
Lead multiple teams, oversee managers, and create a robust and functional group within the Engineering organization
Oversee architectural and engineering decisions to create a high-performing, delightful, robust set of customer experiences
Ensure the quality delivery, maintenance, and availability of services the engineering teams are responsible for
What we're looking for:
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or comparable work experience
12+ years of experience leading engineering teams
Proven experience managing multiple engineering teams across diverse workstreams while ensuring seamless coordination and effective management of cross-functional stakeholdersboth within and beyond R&
D
Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade services and applications serving millions of users per day
Experience building services related to financialsystems (e.G. eCommerce, ERP, transaction processing)
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
Experience in developing and iteratively delivering data-driven solutionsfocused on business outcomes and customer needs
Strong ability to influence engineering and business partners on software architecture and project roadmapsto drive positive change
