The salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000 and relocation is available if required.
This position is located on the IU East Campus in Richmond, Indiana. It is a Hybrid role, with primarily regional travel required.
The IU East (IUE) campus is a growing and thriving education hub approximately an hour east of Indianapolis. Founded in 1971, IUE offers over 60 academic programs, 16 NAIA athletic programs, 40+ student organizations, study abroad programs, extensive career services to foster students and catapult them into their career. Additionally, IUE leads the way in online education, providing flexible learning opportunities for thousands of students across Indiana, the Midwest, and the US. The IU Foundation is seeking a new Director of Development to capture the energy and progress on campus and deliver that message to donors and friends of the University. This role reports to the AVP of Development, Regional Campuses-IU Foundation, with a dotted line to the Chancellor of IU East. We’re seeking a true, intentional collaborator:
someone who is excited to get to know the students, faculty, administration, and community, and be an engaged contributor who brings people together to foster student success at IUE. Fundraising for the future of IU East may be your primary responsibility in this role, but success is dependent on a collective effort.Being a leader who can curate a culture of philanthropy by building bridges from donors, alumni, and friends of the University to the IU East campus community is essential.All faculty and staff at IU East play a role in student enrollment efforts, and that’s no different for our Director of Development. You will secure funds for scholarships, health and wellness, wraparound retention support programs, facility improvements, athletic programs, and more.
The Director of Development will secure philanthropic support and strategic direction for a comprehensive and coordinated development program that includes all aspects of fundraising, including annual fund, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving, and major and principal gifts. A large majority of your work will focus on cultivating relationships with major gift donors, utilizing the campus’ internal resources and IU Foundation services to ensure a comprehensive and donor-centered advancement program that leads to at least 14 major gift proposals of $50k+ each year.
By building long-term relationships with donors, business leaders, and other friends of the University, you’ll ‘Bring on Tomorrow,’ creating new opportunities for IUE students for many years to come!
