Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Regional Business Development for North America and LATAM to join our rapidly growing global Connectivity Business Development. Reporting to the Global Head of Business Development and Central Marketing, you will lead a team of Regional Business Development Managers. Working closely with the Renesas Regional Sales Management, Connectivity Product Lines, Global Sales Solutions and Regional Channel Sales Management. This role requires a seasoned Business Development or Sales leader with strong business and technical acumen, Customer and Industry know how is a must. You will succeed if you are the type of person that understands how to work with sales at all levels as well as other internal business stakeholders. The ability to build, develop and maintain customer, business and stakeholder relationships within a very dynamic environment is key. The successful candidate must have a goals-based mind-set, being able to make informed decisions based on revenue and growth targets.
Key Internal Stakeholders in this role are - Global Business Development &
Central Marketing for Connectivity, Connectivity Division Leadership, Sales Executive and Regional Leadership, Other Product Lines Regional Business Development.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all Regional Business Development activities in the Region including Demand Creation, Funnel Conversion, Go To Market and New Product Introductions.
Leading a team of Business Development professionals, of various seniority, managing both Regional and Channel engagements and opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and open mindset within the team, ensure a sense of urgency and drive to understand where to win fast and lose faster.
Sales owns the customers and should know the opportunities;
Business Development owns the opportunities and should know the customers.
Be an Ambassador for the Connectivity Division in the Region to all stakeholders including Executive Leadership and Channel Partners.
Collaborate with all Stakeholders to create and execute regional growth strategies and plans to increase customer engagement, improve relationships, build brand equity, drive faster closes, and improve win rates.
With all stakeholders, establish and maintain a deep understanding of the customers and local markets based on sound internal and external customer/market insights and product know how. Ensure this understanding is communicated and proliferated back within the Connectivity Division.
Work with the CSD Product Line and Central Marketing leadership to ensure targeted NPI campaigns within the Region are as effective as possible.
Rapidly scale up the Connectivity approach for the region in partnership with Vertical Sales, Regional Sales, Channel Sales/Marketing, Global BD and the CSD Product Lines.
Assist and train Sales and FAE’s with the development of sales aids, sales scripts, collateral, kits etc, as requested.
