We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Telemetry to join our team on a direct hire basis. As a Telemetry RN at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide specialized monitoring and care to patients with cardiac conditions and other serious medical issues.
Responsibilities
Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Assess patients' conditions and document observations
Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
Respond to changes in patients' conditions and notify appropriate healthcare professionals
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding cardiac health
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
Stay up-to-date with advancements in Telemetry nursing practices and participate in continuing education
Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 2 years of RN experience
Strong knowledge of cardiac nursing principles and practices
Ability to assess and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software

Unit Description:
Patient population:
?primarily acute cardiac patients, post invasive cardiac procedures, chest pain, acute illnesses such as (but not limited to) ETOH withdrawal, COVID, sepsis, tikosyn and Sotalol initiation and titration Average census and nurse to patient ratio:
3 units totaling 59 beds (we staff for 45 beds) Nurse to patient ratio is 1:
5, 1-2 patient care techs on each unit depending on census and acuity Beds per unit:
4 north (28 beds), 4 south (cardiac observation unit is 18 beds) and 4 East (13 beds) Tech or equipment used on the unit:
GE heart monitors, Masimo vital sign machines, Stryker beds
Required Qualifications:
BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 2 years of RN experience
