Beltway Companies, the largest commercial truck dealership in the state of Maryland, offers full-service truck and warranty repairs for International trucks, Jerr-Dan bodies, Kalmar-Ottawa yard jockies, Cummins engines, and Eaton and Meritor drivetrains. Our state-of-the-art facilities and diagnostic equipment support the latest in technology in trucking and provides an environment fueled by innovation.
Our technicians are a vital member of our team and are charged with inspecting, repairing, and/or overhauling medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks with diesel engines. We have immediate openings for technicians at all of our locations.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Inspection and lubrication
Cab, frame, front axle, steering gear and springs
Brake System
Clutch, transmission, and differential
Engine Repair
Engine tune-up, electrical inspection and testing
Overhaul, major components
Trailer repairs
Tool Room (knows proper use of all tools)
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have their own hand tools and relevant training and/or experience, preferably with medium and/or heavy-duty trucks. Must be self-motivated, team player ready to hit the ground running.
SKILL, TRAINING, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school degree or equivalent
1 to 4 years related experience
Mechanical knowledge of diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles
