EMI Services is immediately hiring a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support in facilities management. The DPM will work works directly with the Project Manager, The United States Government and the various trades Supervisors. Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship with the Government, Government counterparts, subcontractors. The DPM is responsible for the daily operations and production of the various trades shops and oversees the procurement of required materials and supplies. The DPM also assists with administrative duties associated with field operations, providing technical direction for various Trades Supervisors and their functional areas aboard Ventura.
Salary
Starting at $120,000 (DOE) plus employer paid health benefits!
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all trade shops' daily operations
Includes Electrical, Plumbing/Pipefitting, HVAC, Structural, Heavy Equipment, Supply, and Work Control
Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review staff goal and objectives
Establish schedules and methods for efficient facility maintenance while maintaining costs.
Identify resource needs and review needs with appropriate management staff
Participate in developing goals and objectives and policies and procedures
Makes recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures
Participate in the implementation of approved policies and procedures
Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
Monitor expenditures
Prepare cost estimates
Submit justifications for equipment
Monitor and control supplies and equipment
Orders supplies and tools as necessary
Train or coordinate training in facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures, and techniques
Work with the Safety Supervisor to develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs
Attend and participates in professional group meetings
Maintain awareness of new trends and developments in facility maintenance
Incorporate new developments
Coordinate with contractors in providing contract services
Develop and recommend systems and procedures related to assigned operations
Establish priorities to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner
Perform the most complex maintenance duties and operate related equipment
Read and understand construction drawings, plans and specifications
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent amounts of technical training and/or experience
2+ years experience in a management role in industrial or commercial facilities maintenance environment on a DoD facilities maintenance and repair contract
Knowledge in the tools, materials, working practices and methods of the various trades;
materials, equipment, working procedures and methods required in facility maintenance and repair
Valid driver’s license
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
Carrying objects/boxes/print-outs short distances
Extensive work with a personal computer
Lifting and moving as much as 50 pounds with assistance
Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
