Are you looking for part-time flexible hours and great pay? We are seeking our next Part-Time Dental Hygiene Assistant who will be all-in on our mission and who will provide dental assisting and administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the program. This position has a new pay structure at $30/hour and flexible weekly hours.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Required:
Certified Dental Assistant in the State of Texas. High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Associate's Degree or higher.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Three (3) years of experience as a dental assistant.
Preferred:
Experience with online learning platforms. Experience in education or healthcare setting.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Required:
Graduate from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Current and unencumbered license to practice dental hygiene in Texas.
JOB DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and instruct dental hygiene students in the proper procedures for sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Supervise and instruct dental hygiene students in office management.
Provide administrative support to the Program Director, Clinic Coordinator, faculty, and staff, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating appointments.
Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications, responding to inquiries and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of program materials, including syllabi, handouts, and examination documents.
Maintain and organize student records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with institutional policies.
Coordinate student admissions, enrollment, and registration processes.
Assist with the planning and executing of program events, such as orientations, staff meetings, coating ceremonies, and meetings.
Manage and update the program’s online platforms, including Blackboard and the program website.
Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and educational materials.
Support the faculty in the preparation of course materials, classroom setup, and proctor exams as needed.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
