Job Summary
The Soft Demo Foreman will be primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating field activities of field employees engaged in demolition of construction projects. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, planning work, determining techniques to be used, training of personnel in operation power demolition equipment, such as compressors, torch, tractors, and electric hand tools to perform work in a safe and professional manner. The foreman is responsible to report any issues to management daily.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Supervise and manage field employees to ensure all tasks are completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Provide on-site supervision needed to clarify drawings and discrepancies;
coordinate interfacing of various trades;
provide quality standards and reject improper methods;
and alert supervisor topotential problems.
Direct work crews and advise supervisor of any personnel not performing according to procedures, policies, and schedules.
Perform work to assist crew as needed and/or requested by supervisor.
Become familiar with the project specifications and peculiarities, offer practical advice pertaining to the various project schedules and budgets.
Review project progress, cost reports, schedules, and requirements for completion.
Determine and recommend changes in methods, schedules, procedures, and improvements on the project.
Maintain a close working relationship with supervisor to ensure proper coordination of responsibility for the project. Notify supervisor of any subcontractor not performing according to specifications or schedule.
Submit daily paperwork and ensure proper paper flow of information from field to supervisor regarding delivery commitments, field dimensions, reports, and any other necessary correspondence.
Communicate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and other construction professionals to ensure smooth project completion. Report back to the office on any project updates.
Notify the Safety Manager of any hazardous work conditions or safety situations on worksites. Ensure safety protocols are being followed daily. Report and complete safety incident reports, as needed.
Ensure that all company policies and programs are fully always enforced on the worksite, including, but not limited to Safety Program, IIPP, etiquette training etc.
Ensures that equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and stored at the end of each shift. Coordinate and advise supervisor/dispatch of equipment requirements. Report to the Shop Manager of any equipment malfunctions.
Ensure quality standards are maintained. Maintain a neat and orderly jobsite and personal appearance.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, and supervisors/managers.
Train and equip all crew members, as needed.
Perform other duties, as assigned by management.

Full-time
Salary:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and/or demolition.
Must be able to pass a physical medical exam.
Must be able to communicate proficiently in English, both verbal and written.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to demolition.
Must have a valid Driver License, reliable transportation, and maintain a clean driving record.
Must be able to work long hours, including overtime, when needed.
Must be able to drive to multiple jobsites in different cities and counties, when needed.
Required Certifications:
OSHA 30 certification.
Scissor Lift Training certification.
Fall prevention training certification.
Valid certificate in First Aid and CPR.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to spend vast majority of the day standing or walking around on jobsites.
Ability to travel and spend long periods of time in a vehicle.
Must be able to lift and handle 50 pounds of field equipment at times.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand;
walk;
sit;
reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
