Database Engineer

IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced
Responsibilities:
Database Design and Architecture
Design and implement database structures that meet business requirements.
Develop data models and database schemas.
Optimize database design for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Database Development
Write and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts.
Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Implement data integration and ETL processes.
Database Management and Maintenance
Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (DBMS).
Monitor and maintain database performance, including tuning and optimization.
Perform regular backups and recovery procedures.
Data Security and Integrity
Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across databases.
Monitor and manage database access and permissions.
Troubleshooting and Support
Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and errors.
Provide support for database-related queries and incidents.
Work closely with development and IT teams to resolve issues.
Documentation and Reporting
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database structures, processes, and protocols.
Generate reports and data visualizations as needed.
Document troubleshooting procedures and resolutions.
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs.
Communicate database-related updates, issues, and improvements to relevant teams.
Participate in project planning and implementation meetings.
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends.
Recommend and implement improvements to existing database systems.
Participate in database performance tuning and optimization initiatives.
Compliance and Standards
Ensure databases comply with industry standards and regulations.
Implement and enforce database policies and procedures.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements
Experience using Microsoft Office suite applications
Experience using Oracle RDBMS
Experience using postgreSQL RDBMS
Ability to create and run PowerShell applications
Experience in Windows/Linux Administration
Experience using Tomcat and JBoss Servers
Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or Scientific field and 4 years o experience or High School Diploma/GED and 8 years or Associates Degree and 6 years or Master's with 2 years of experience.
DoD 8570 compliant certification
Clearance requirements:
TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI Poly
