IT Concepts Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert to join our team supporting our Federal clients such as the Social Security Administration (SSA), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a focus on federal regulations, compliance standards, and best practices. Additionally, the candidate must possess expertise in zero trust principles, Azure architecture, and be able to actively contribute to growth and business development opportunities, including participating in live bids and meeting with senior agency leaders.
Responsibilities:
Provide Cybersecurity expertise and support across the entire program lifecycle.
Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, best practices, tools, and procedures in compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.
Provide expert and hands-on guidance and support to internal teams on cybersecurity-related matters covering a wide range of technical areas.
Provide consultative insight and guidance to teams on Zero Trust implementations and architecture.
Provide technical input, both verbally and written, into white papers, best practice documentation and business development solutions.
Expert understanding of implementing and maintaining zero trust architecture and principles.
Expert understanding of designing, implementing, and managing AWS and Azure-based cybersecurity solutions.
Knowledge in technical areas related to incident response, recovery and prevention.
Broad understanding of information assurance, risk management framework, penetration testing, infrastructure operations, hardware, software, processes, systems, and tools.
Experience in IV&
V, A&
A activities, along with experience in Federal system ATO process.
Expertise in implementation of Insider Threat program for Federal agencies.
Communicate cybersecurity risks and initiatives to leaders of federal agencies in a clear and understandable manner.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to align cybersecurity initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
Participate in live bids, contributing cybersecurity expertise to proposal development and client presentations.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the federal cybersecurity market, leveraging technical expertise and industry knowledge.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on the federal industry.
Any two of the following certifications required:
CISSP or CISA or CISM or PMP
In-depth knowledge of federal cybersecurity regulations and compliance standards, such as NIST, FISMA, OWASP, and FedRAMP.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and techniques.
Expertise and experience in in zero trust principles and implementation in federal organizations.
Proficiency in AWS and Azure architecture and security solutions.
Ability to effectively communicate technical cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including leaders of federal agencies.
Proven experience contributing to growth and business development efforts, including participation in live bids.
Ability to stay current in security and DevSecOps best practices, tools, technologies and policies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
