CUSTOMS BROKER IMPORT COORDINATOR/HANDLER

Pay:
$45,000 - $65,000 annually

Job Description:

• Knowledge of both air and sea shipments. This includes communication with airlines, consolidators, co-loaders and steamship lines to secure shipping details for import shipment Customs entry purposes.
  
• Data input for Customs entries in Cargo Wise.
  
• Basic knowledge of Customs HTS#'s and ability to use product database in Cargo Wise to classify commodities.
  
• Working knowledge of participating government agencies such as FDA, EPA, USDA and FWS.
  
• Issuance of delivery orders per client instructions and SOP's and necessary follow up with truckers to ensure timely delivery.
  
• Billing of files handled through Client rate structure in Cargo Wise
  
• Ability to work on import quotes received in designated import quotes email portal. These may be from our international trade partners or one-offs.
  
• IT knowledge of Microsoft office including email and excel.
  
• Pro-active communication among team members is expected.
  
• Knowledge of when to bring to Compliance team attention potential problems including inconsistencies with documentation, conflicting information, any instances that may be problematic.
  
• Strong communication skills including written and verbal
