Elevation Marketing is a mid-sized, full-service B2B only marketing communications agency, located in Mesa, Arizona and San Francisco California. Our client roster includes 32 companies with revenues of over $1B annually and a variety of other small and medium sized companies. We are in growth mode and are adding to our team of outstanding, high-performing, ultra-driven, highly collaborative team members to keep up with our clients and their demands on us.
The Creative Director (Content and Design) will lead the conceptual and stylistic direction for new and existing clients within B2B industries. The Creative Director will manage Elevation’s creative team, currently consisting of copy, content, brand strategy and design. The Creative Director will partner with strategy, project management, account services, digital, social, pr and other teams to deliver cutting-edge B2B solutions.
Due to the highly collaborative nature of agency work, this job is not remote and is based in our beautiful Gilbert office (Phoenix Area). The agency does provide two work from home days (or four half days) a month plus a solid PTO program and other agency benefits. The agency is also closed for a week from Christmas through New Year’s.

This Role Will
Deliver fresh thinking and innovative B2B creative solutions
Translate client marketing objectives into clear creative strategies, campaigns, content and marketing materials.
Manage the creative process from concept to completion, leveraging data and customer insights to inform the creative approach.
Utilize industry, competitive and audience research to develop and deliver ideas and creative concepts that align to the strategy, differentiates in crowded markets and delivers against key client KPI’s
Oversee the quality of all creative deliverables, ensuring strategic alignment and client brand standards are met
Deliver fresh thinking and innovative B2B creative solutions
Present ideas in a compelling way to internal audiences and clients.
Additional Key Duties and Responsibilities
Take an active role in hiring, training and the career development of creative staff including designers, art directors, copywriters, content strategists, etc.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, (e.G. digital, PR, social, etc.), to support integrated marketing campaigns and programs
Review creative work, troubleshoot and provide active feedback to creative team.
Assist Traffic, New Business and Project Management with the development of estimates and proposals.
Partner with account and production leadership to ensure creative deliver on business objectives and are as powerful in market as they were when pitched.
Lead and/or support client pitches and proposal presentations. Oversee creative assets and concepts required for the agency’s the new business process.
Manage department profitability, deliverables, timelines and budget.
Required Skills
Ability to both delegate and execute creative. This will be hands on as much as it is a leadership role.
Lead workshops, brainstorming sessions and creative processes while editing ideas, providing feedback and engaging with cross-functional teams in a professional manner that fosters an environment of cooperation and collaboration.
Quickly and effectively gain and exhibit a thorough understanding of a client’s business and industry
Secure, provide oversight for and maintain close working relationships with external resources and vendors.
Ability to write effective copy (preferred) or design at the highest levels.
Effectively mentor and lead content and design teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Phenomenal presentation skills and a track record of successfully selling and executing creative ideas
In-depth knowledge of content strategy, copywriting, theming, and the processes for generating big ideas
Working knowledge of color theory, typography, and composition
Enthusiasm and passion for creative excellence and measurable results
Solid organizational skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines concurrently
Ability to meet high standards for quality and accuracy under tight deadlines
10+ years of experience at a marketing agency (B2B preferred)
Examples of transforming strategic opportunities into best-in-class B2B creative solutions
Background in concept development, copywriting (preferred) or design.
Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring copywriters, art directors, and designers (junior through senior level)
Proven ability to effectively lead and mentor others

Compensation and Benefits
Elevation strives to provide some of the best agency compensation and benefit packages in the great southwest. The job is in Gilbert, AZ (just off the Loop 202 expressway) and less than one mile from over 50 restaurants. Our business is all about collaboration, so we do not offer telecommuting currently, but we do offer flex hours depending on the position and clients. Employees can start at any time between 7 AM and 9 AM and finish between 4 PM and 6 PM based on client demands and department structure. Elevation pays for 95% of employee’s life, health and long-term disability insurance. Elevation offers vision, dental and a variety of other benefits that an employee can purchase. The kitchen area is full of free snacks and beverages. Tuition reimbursement is available. The salary range for this position will vary depending on experience and skills outlined above.
