A Crane Driver/CDL-A role at Sunstate consists of constructing, loading, unloading, and transporting trench shoring equipment to and from customer jobsites using a knuckle boom lift crane. Safety is always our priority, so you must understand DOT regulations and secure loads in accordance with those regulations, following company procedures. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to communicate with coworkers and customers effectively and professionally.
Requirements
Preferred Qualities/Experience:
Class A CDL License &
DOT Medical Card is required – no wiggle room on this. (Sunstate will pay for DOT Medical card renewal if needed)
50% of work will be transporting Trench and MAP shoring to and from customer job sites using various trucks - knuckle boom flat bed, semi, and trailer trucks.
50% of work will include, but not limited to, assembly, testing, and inspection of equipment, power washing, inventory control and various yard duties.
Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 90 pounds
Maintain customer relations by consistently being courteous, professional and helpful. Drivers are considered an extension of sales.
