This position entails collaborating with plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and external engineering firms, where you will provide quality checks on construction packages, perform inspections and factory acceptance tests, and provide technical support for the startup and commissioning of new projects. Developing/monitoring instrument cost estimates, manpower forecasts/tracking, schedule, and budget metrics, and provide responsive and effective communications regarding your project activities. Being responsible for the overall ownership and execution of your assigned I&
C projects/assignments. Providing engineering expertise and leadership in the specification, design, requisition, and installation of new process instrumentation in accordance with plant design requirements, Caelux standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:

· The job will be fast paced, developing these systems in a rapidly scaling manufacturing environment.
· Developing, managing, integrating, and maintaining an evolving SCADA system.
· Developing PLC applications for different pieces of equipment.
· Developing solutions or integrating new hardware into existing machines.
· Troubleshooting PLC logic and implementing new features.
· Designing User Interfaces for facility-wide process systems.
· Managing firmware revisions, EOL projects, and update plans for our PLCs.
· Leading the design, architecture, development, and deployment of new applications.
· Collaborating with end users to translate feature requests into actionable software design.
· Organizing and maintaining system documentation and developing training material for users.
· Following security standards and best practices for PLC and network safety and functionality.
· Sourcing system components from software and hardware vendors where appropriate.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar engineering discipline -or- 4+ years of PLC programming or computer science experience in an industrial atmosphere.
· Advanced Siemens programming and hardware knowledge.
· Advanced Profibus configuration experience
· Intermediate-Advanced Aveva (wonderware HMI) development experience.
· Electrical experience – VFD, Servo, Instrumentation, and field device configuration
· Ability to work on site in Baldwin Park, CA on a typical M-F schedule with overtime as needed to ensure mission success.
· Strong communication and data presentation skills, with experience analyzing data and communicating results to senior business leaders.
· Ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders.
· Operational knowledge of network architecture, cloud platforms.
· Resourceful, self-managed, detail-oriented and can think on your feet.
· Problem solver and can easily find resolutions.
· Positive, patient, and empathetic attitude are very important.
· Team player, willing to assist wherever necessary.
· Capable of lifting 50 pounds and experienced working around industrial equipment.
Knowledge and skills that will serve the ideal candidate well in this role are:
· Sputtering(PVD) power supply
· Mitsubishi PLC/HMI development and programming
· B&
R PC based control systems
· Omron PLC
· Visual Basic
· Fanuc or other Robot experience
· Wide range of industrial protocol experience. (Ethernet IP, TCP/IP, OPCUA, IO-Link, Serial, RS485, Modbus, EtherCat, etc.)
· Vacuum experience (Vacuum gauges, vacuum pumps, Electrical feedthroughs, Vacuum rated sensors)
· Ignition or equivalent SCADA experience
