Conceptual, Social-First Writer

Job Description
The salary range for this position is $64,343 - $72,000 USD annual.
Reporting to the Creative Director, we are looking for a Conceptual, Social-First Writer who is conceptually-minded, with a background working in a writers room, either in TV/film or the advertising space. You'll be part of a creatively-led account to write inspiring ideas that cut through the clutter to set hearts and feeds on fire. You'll excel in a 'writers room' type environment, riffing with other writers and creatives to get to the perfect organic social idea/campaign/post. You're an idea generator with outstanding writing experience and love working with clients and gaining their trust to create the best work possible.
Responsibilities:
Write original, attention grabbing (organic) social ideas/content/sketches that engage audiences and inspire fame, across the spectrum of emotions, from witty, to serious, to dramatic.
Build relationships and influence with the team and client in a writers room environment, being a voice that adds value.
Riff ideas with other writers/creatives and clients daily, clearly expressing a clear vision and point of view with conviction.
Create groundbreaking written ideas to promote social engagement.
Take verbal briefs or angles and quickly spin insightful ideas.
Create great, unexpected ideas/hooks in order for organic content to create engagement.
Review work with Creative Director, Creative VP and ECD keeping them informed, and actioning their feedback across the team.
Defend and improve ideas in response to input from a client.
Respond to client demands.
Guide a DP, editor, VFX, VO record, colorist, etc. on production and post-production needs.
