Are you a proactive and personable individual with a passion for community engagement? Semios + Agworld is looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to join our team in the Fresno area. The ideal candidate will support our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Marketing and Sales teams by fostering relationships within the agricultural community, connecting with industry stakeholders and customers, and coordinating various events and activities.
What you will do:
Community Involvement:
Actively participate in local agricultural events, trade shows, and community meetings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local growers, advisors, and industry stakeholders.
Represent Semios + Agworld at industry events to promote our mission and offerings.
Support for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
Assist SMEs in organizing and conducting educational workshops, webinars, and field days.
Coordinate logistics for SME-led events and customer visits.
Collect and relay feedback from the community to SMEs to inform product development and improvement.
Sales Team Support:
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and engage potential customers.
Facilitate communication between customers and the sales team to ensure effective problem-solving and support.
Develop and distribute educational materials and resources to customers.
Event Coordination:
Plan and manage Semios + Agworld’s presence at local events, ensuring a professional and impactful representation.
Organize and coordinate meetings, events, and trade shows, including logistics, scheduling, and on-site support.
Ensure all event activities align with company goals and messaging.
Time/Travel Requirements:
Travel throughout Central Valley, California to meet with customers and industry stakeholders in person.
Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate various events and meetings across the region.
There may be events that are outside of normal business hours (evenings or a weekend day). You would flex your hours/time to ensure great work/life balance.
Reporting and Feedback:
Provide regular reports on community engagement activities, community needs, and industry trends to identify opportunities for engagement and growth. and outcomes.

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Requirements
We want you to succeed, so you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in marketing, community engagement, public relations, or a related field. Experience in the agricultural industry is preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to drive within applicable state or locality with reliable transportation with a willingness to travel extensively within California.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong organizational and event planning abilities.
Passion for social media;
adept at capturing content, enjoys being on camera, capable of posting and engaging with community.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with knowledge of the agricultural industry and its challenges.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
People-oriented with a strong background in marketing, community engagement, or agriculture is helpful.
Salary range:
$60,000 to $65,000 per year
Please note that the base pay offered may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.
