MECHANICAL COMMISSIONING LEAD
The M/P Commissioning Lead is responsible to support the project in area of Mechanical and Process system Commissioning. The position will come onboard to support the Execute phase and all phases of onshore and offshore Construction and Commissioning. The position will support the Define and Execute phases and their scopes of work. This will include influencing the our client to have Commissioning-in-design at the Metairie office. Responsibilities are to produce deliverables starting at Define and ending after startup. While in engineering design, the position will work within the client engineering organization to give input to the final IFC design, produce plans and drawing to support the commissioning scopes of the project. Review and application of engineering and vendor documents in development of System Commissioning Procedures (SCP's), with possible feedback to engineering based on review and use of these items. The position will review 3 rd party procedures as needed for the project. During Fabrication the position will make regular field trips to the location to support the site-based Commissioning Technicians' activities including participation in MC walkdowns and punch listing, audits of Pre-Commissioning checks (B check sheets), participation in 3 rd party activities (such as cleaning and leak testing), and during execution of Dynamic System Commissioning Procedures. During offshore commissioning this position may support the site-based offshore Commissioning team as requested, and as they execute Offshore Commissioning. This position will support the update of, and adherence to, the Onshore and Offshore Commissioning Logic Sequence (Part of the Shell CSU Commissioning Plan) and Preservation Plan (Transportation and Long-Term Storage). Of upmost importance is maintaining the highest vigilance for Health, Safety and the Environment which could include safety observations and interventions of unsafe acts.
Duties and Responsibilities:

* Produce Dynamic Commissioning Procedures for Mechanical and Process Systems. Work with the E/I Commissioning Lead to include this discipline in multi-discipline procedures. Support review, revision, and approval of procedures by the client.
* Produce, or support producing with client, the system's Performance Test Procedure.
* FAT attendance at vendor locations where required.
* Identification of Commissioning Spares for all project POs and ordering of spares through the Procurement group (preparing POs).
* Ensure compliance with engineering procedures, international codes, standards &
approved codes of practice as they relate to Commissioning activities.
* Review of Pre-Commissioning procedures created by 3 rd party contractor detailed work packs.
* Coordinate Engineering discipline transfer of data to the 3 rd party Completions Management Systems (CMS).
* Provide input into the overall project plans and schedules, ensuring it is possible to achieve agreed to schedule (adequate resources and durations).
* Review and comment on all vendor documents related to mechanical and process equipment including datasheets, GA's, BOM's, test procedures (FATs).
* Support the site-based Commissioning team in the development of the requirements and timing for materials, resources, and external services, for onshore and offshore pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure these requirements are secured.
* Support the startup of the project through the client CSU and Operations team in the execution of Start-up activities and Performance Testing where required.
* The position requires a result driven personality, a self-starter, and who can positively influence his team to meet or exceed progress targets.
* Must have a focus on HSSE in engineering design and in the execution of field activities.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:

* A degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
* Operational experiences as a Facility Engineer or Mechanical Maintenance supervisor are a plus. #LI-MT3
* Must have mechanical process systems knowledge for oil and gas facilities. Preferably have offshore deepwater experience, brownfield and greenfield project experience, and experience with large/mega projects that required the utilization of an onshore fabricator with heavy lift to offshore.
* A background in large motor and turbines a plus.
* Specific experience in upstream Oil &
Gas systems is a plus.
* Operational experiences as a Facility Engineer or Mechanical Maintenance supervisor are a plus.
* Demonstrated successes in delivery of commissioning and projects safely.
* 10 years work experience in their identified discipline.
* 5 years commissioning experience, with 3 years of offshore oil and gas experience a plus.
* Able to read and interpret P&
IDs.
* Able toread one lines, understand control narratives, C&
E charts, in preparationof procedures.
* Experience in preparation of System Commissioning Procedures (SCP's).
* Experiences in Mechanical equipment testing, certification, and/or maintenance.
* Experienced in digital Completion and Certification Systems.
* Experienced in review of 3D models.
* Experiences in offshore operations is a plus.
* Fluency in spoken and written English.
* Strong proficiency in Office suite.
* Good understanding of all commissioning disciplines.
* Can see beyond the boundaries of commissioning and view the project holistically.
* Detail oriented but can see the bigger picture.
* Ability to foresee roadblocks and identify mitigations.
