This position within the Financial Planning &
Analysis (FP&
A) organization is designed to be the key support for the Americas Finance Director and Commercial Director, supporting the Firm’s efforts to develop or leading on the region’s financial plans, efforts to enhance profitability and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
The position leads a center of excellence for FP&
A, ensuring proper business decision-making by driving financial excellence in relation to income, providing actionable insight and analyses for business performance management and offering consultative guidance to challenge and improve business performance.
This role includes consolidating results for the organization and leading the commercial planning process, including actual analysis, budgets and forecasting for the region.
Tasks and responsibilities
Engage cross-functionally with business process owners (i.E., client service leaders, human resources, accounting and group functions) to understand company performance, provide insights and challenge results
Support in setting up robust commercial finance processes, conducting ad-hoc analyses, generating actionable insights, business cases and scenario modelling, and evaluating strategic alternatives
Lead on and control budgeting and forecasting activities
Communicate insights proactively to the business and facilitate continuous two-way connectivity and information exchange
Monitor actual cost development vs. budget/latest estimates and provide early warnings on deviations as well as recommend corrective actions to deliver on plans
Build and enhance business-critical tools, including the month-end reporting package
Own the data integrity for the business-critical tools and systems, including partnering with IT, Accounting and Operations Support to implement system enhancements and ensure accuracy of data
Act as an SME for the organization in analytical and financial reporting tools, such as Tagetik and Excel Power Pivots
Requirements
Knowledge and experience
Highest level of education achieved:
MBA (preferred);
undergraduate degree inbusiness, finance or economics requiredRequired
Functional expertise:
7+ years of related financial/commercial, industry experience with demonstrated analytic and information-driven experiences
Relevant Finance (FP&
A) experience required, in a professional service firm preferred
Commercial acumen
Experience with information systems and related tools for staging and deploying information
Experience with tools like Tableau or Power BI (data processing and programming languages a plus)
Experience in data modelling
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint and advanced Excel expertise a must)

Systems experience with Tagetik and Microsoft D365 or similar ERP system, such as SAP preferred
