Cnc Machinist

Key Responsibilities:
Mentor and guide a team of professionals through hands-on example and demonstration.
Foster a supportive mentoring environment, aiding participants in enhancing their skills and advancing their careers.
Program jobs using MasterCam 2024 or G/M codes to create parts according to customer specifications.
Set up and operate various machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and CNC machines, to produce parts as per engineering drawings and specifications.
Analyze work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to determine the necessary machining process, tooling, and materials for each project.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of machines and tools, performing routine checks and adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with engineers, schedulers, and team members to discuss project requirements, provide input on design for manufacturability, and troubleshoot potential issues.
Monitor machining processes to ensure product quality and adherence to tolerance standards, making necessary adjustments to maintain precision.
Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, making corrections as needed to meet quality standards.
Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and machining techniques to enhance skills and contribute to process improvements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent;
technical or vocationaltraining in machining is a plus.
Proven experience as a Machinist, demonstrating proficiency in operating various machining equipment and tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Enthusiasm and dedication to both team and individual progression.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate production.
Required knowledge of CNC programming and operation;
experience with MasterCam is a bonus.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Adherence to safety regulations and best practices in machining.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy packages or equipment as needed.
Willingness to undergo background checks, drug screenings, and comply with relevant safety regulations.
