Cloud AWS Developer -REMOTE
Position:
Cloud AWS Developer
Location:
121 S.W. Salmon St., Portland, OR 97204 (Remote work acceptable, must be comfortable working in PST time zone)
Work Hours:
Regular Mon - Fri 8-5 PST;
this position has the opportunity for an extension
Roles &
Responsibilities Team and Work Environment:
Team size includes 4-5 onsite and around 15 offshore members including developers, business analysts, and testers.
Be part of agile scrum teams in designing and developing solutions according to standards in targeted sprints.
The person in this role will highly collaborate with the team to translate business requirements into technical requirements and complete the design, development, peer review, and unit testing.
The top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months is to be a go-getter who can get up and running fast and deliver outcomes.
Biggest challenge in this role is being able to ramp up fast.
What would a day in the life of this role look like?
Participate in daily scrum meetings.
Collaborate with team members to design and develop software solutions.
Conduct peer reviews and unit testing.
Integrate and deploy new features and updates.
Interact with business analysts and testers to ensure the quality and functionality of deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications Required Skills:
Python Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in Python programming language, with experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs.
AWS Expertise:
Solid understanding of AWS serverless cloud architecture, services, and deployment best practices, including but not limited to S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Step functions, IAM, and CloudFormation.
Problem-Solving:
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
SQL Proficiency:
Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data within Snowflake or other relational databases.
Top 3 Nice-To-Haves:
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
NoSQL Experience:
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
AWS Certifications:
Any AWS cloud certifications are a plus.
Education Requirements:
Requires a bachelors degree in business, computer science, engineering, management, or other related fields, or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
