JOB PURPOSE
The Clinical Director is responsible for the management of clinical deliverables for all individuals receiving services.
In addition to clinical program oversight, the Clinical Director is a key member of the management team at Calusa Recovery Services, LLC. The incumbent provides vision and leadership to ensure quality services are delivered, monitored, and measured, and oversees the coordination of services to clients impacted by mental health and substance abuse disorders.
The Clinical Director will function as primary oversight and manage the clinical team, including supervision, documentation review, and continued quality improvement measures as outlined.
DUTIES &
REQUIREMENTS
Experience and knowledge of direct behavioral health services, including assessment, treatment, and consultation
Knowledge of diverse modalities of counseling and diagnostic principles
Knowledge of, and ability to, apply counseling and diagnostic theories and techniques to a full range of diverse client populations including primary MH/SUD, as well as co-occurring disorders
Program development, data, and performance management experience and developing KPIs for the clinical team
Belief in a strengths-based approach to human services
Passion for mission and philosophy along with the knowledge of company history, culture, identity, and goals.
Ability to build strong teams to meet performance goals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and data management environments
Provide individual and group counseling according to individualized treatment plans and in accordance with professional standards to all clients as needed and/or weekly for visibility when needed, and monitor the clinical teams’ interventions of such
Create, maintain, and submit accurate records and documents in a timely manner and review all clinical documentation in the EMR
Maintain current knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques, criminal justice systems, and community resources using in-service training, seminars, workshops, and publications
Participate in QAPI and collect data accordingly
Maintain a small caseload of <
5 and/or provide therapeutic interventions (crisis, EMDR, etc.) to census as needed
Perform duties as required and requested of the organization and executive leadership
SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT
Manage all members of clinical staff, including onboarding, orientation, supervision, and evaluating job performance
Provide individual and group clinical supervision to licensed and non-licensed employees and record/document accordingly
Manage concerns relating to coverage, productivity, customer service skills, and workload expectations
Provide administrative support, supervision, and consultation to all employees in tandem with the Director of Operations
Provide crisis support guidance and interventions to therapists and clients as needed
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Provide management for daily operations of the clinical department
Develop, review, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure quality services for clients and accountability for staff
Provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of the clinical program to ensure needs are met for individuals seeking services and the mission of Calusa Recovery
Maintain documentation, client files, and statistics as required by agency policies and funding sources
Monitor trends and make informed decisions regarding service provisions and consistently evaluate group schedule and topics as outlined by the Department and in accordance with hours of services and levels of care
Assist operations in obtaining and maintaining licensure and accreditation with DCF, AHCA, and TJC
PLANNING AND COORDINATION
Participate with Calusa Recovery’s management team in leadership, guidance, supervision, training
Conduct regular clinical team meetings and supervise all clinical personnel in accordance with statutes and as outlined by The Department
Work closely with the advocacy, residential and legal teams to coordinate services to clients
Maintain a working relationship with outside agencies and maintain licensure.
Coordinate meetings with other mental health provider programs and create community networking opportunities
Meet with the Medical Consultant and Director of Operations for regular supervision
Assist with community presentations and program marketing, as applicable
Model the Calusa Recovery Services/Relevance Recovery philosophy of client-centeredness, empowerment, success
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid clinical license in the state of FL (LMHC Preferred) with additional Qualified Supervisor Eligibility
Minimum of five years of administrative and supervisory experience in clinical services (MH/SUD Preferred) or related supervision preferred
Experience and knowledge of direct behavioral health services, including assessment, treatment, and consultation
Familiarity with the disease concept of addiction and knowledge of mental health treatment interventions
Must be able to pass a Level II Clearinghouse background check and all requirements of the onboarding process
