Job Description
General Summary:
Under supervision and in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, the CEP (Clinical Exercise Physiologist) qualifies, enrolls, assesses, develops and progresses programs, educates and discharges CR (Cardiac Rehab) &
(PR) Pulmonary Rehab outpatients according to Department, Rehabilitation Services and Hospital policies and procedures.
Principle Responsibilities:
Performs comprehensive medical, social and family history through interview, review of medical records and questionnaires.
Using appropriate tests &
measurements, completesinspection and physical examination of cardiopulmonary,cardiovascular and other body systems &
body structures as applicable.
Collaborates with patient, family &
interdisciplinary team members develop, implement, coordinate and document comprehensive exercise and education programs to measure, meet &
document both individual patient and program goals.
Participates in meetings, clinical education, drills, training (ex. safety, infection prevention, emergency), quality assurance, performance improvement, community engagement and other activities as assigned by the Department, Rehabilitation Services and Hospital and in accordance withapplicable inspection, regulatory, certification and accreditation bodies.
