Position Overview
As a PASRR Evaluator, you will conduct onsite assessments to ensure appropriate placement and care for local populations in Washington. In this role you will be offering essential evaluations and recommendations that enhance patient well-being and quality of life. Your assessments, typically conducted in nursing homes or hospital settings, will be integral in determining the level and scope of care needed for each patient.
As a trusted expert, you will have the autonomy to evaluate their care needs and provide invaluable determinations and recommendations for their ongoing level of care, helping to improve patient's well-being and enhance their quality of life. This is a Full Time Hybrid role that will entail working from your home office while also dedicating a portion of your day to fieldwork, involving travel to patients within your surrounding areas and counties. Must be open to covering the Goldendale area. All required travel expenses, including mileage and gas, will be fully reimbursed.
Job Responsibilities
Ensures accurate screenings, evaluations, and determinations through accurate clinical assessment of the patient, relevant records and collateral sources of individuals.
Determines the appropriate level of care and service needs based on the patient’s physical, behavioral, and psychological functioning.
Knowledge of psychiatric disorders as defined by the most current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual in use in Washington.
Knowledge of standards of practice related to mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and other disorders typically requiring long term care services and supports.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to confirm a clinical diagnosis accounting for psychological and behavioral issues.
Ability to utilize computer equipment and web-based software to conduct work.
Ability to interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and/or their families if applicable.
Ability to communicate effectively to individuals and groups through spoken, written, and electronic media.
Monitor personal metrics to ensure compliance with turnaround time requirements.
Ensures compliance with necessary workflows.
Attends and actively participates in meetings and conducts case consultations/peer reviews as needed.
Reviews current literature, regulations and research related to long term care, mental illness, medical conditions, and geriatrics.

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the assessment and diagnosis of individuals with mental/psychiatric disorders, including complex differential diagnoses that are related to substance use, medical conditions, cognitive issues, and dementia.
Experience with geriatric population.
Knowledge of and/or experience with public mental health and medical programs
Active unrestricted licensure in Washington in healthcare or related field, such as a Licensed Psychologist, Psychiatric Nurse, Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Social Worker Independent Clinical License.
Graduation from an accredited College with relevant Degree Program.
Working knowledge of Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) requirements per Federal Regulation 42 CFR, Chapter 483.
Knowledge of psychiatric disorders as defined by the most current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual in use in Washington.
Knowledge of standards of practice related to determination of Level of Care.
Knowledge of standards of practice related to mental health, geriatrics, and other disorders typically requiring long term care placement.
Knowledge and understanding of public sector services and supports.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Ability to determine a clinical diagnosis accounting for psychological and behavioral issues.
Ability to utilize computer equipment and web-based software to conduct work.
Ability to interact with various office staff as needed to support necessary workflows.
Ability to interact with healthcare professionals, patients, their families, and other supports.
Ability to communicate effectively to individuals and groups through spoken, written, and electronic media.
Ability to attend to detail, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner.
Assesses and analyzes psychological, emotional, behavioral and physical functioning.
Develops level of care recommendations based upon clinical evaluations.

Compensation
The compensation for this role is $83,000 to $89,000 annual salary. Based on our compensation program, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
