Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Claims Supervisor to join our team. The Claims Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the subrogation claims process for insurance-based claims, managing interactions with insurance companies, and collaborating with external vendors. Additionally, they will supervise a team of Senior Claims Specialists to ensure efficient and effective handling of all insurance-related claims. The Claims Supervisor will work closely with the management team of the Claims Department to enhance performance and achieve team success.
· Supervise and manage a team of 4-6 Senior Claim Specialists, ensuring that all insurance-involved claims are handled promptly and accurately.
· Meet with the claim specialist individually each month to discuss quality checks/reviews and progress and provide coaching/feedback to help your team improve their performance and achieve their goals.
· Establish and maintain effective communication channels with external insurance companies, legal professionals, and other relevant stakeholders.
· Evaluate claims to determine the appropriate action, including negotiation, settlement, or closure.
· Oversee the entire subrogation claims process, from initial investigation through settlement and recovery.
· Handle escalated disputes of damage responsibility.
· You must review and analyze claims and performance data to identify trends and patterns.
· Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the claims process from initial claim submission to payment.
· Prepare reports and presentations on claims performance data for upper management, including analysis of trends and recommendations for process improvements.
· Partner with Claims Assistant managers and Department Head to assist with managing current and future subrogation vendors.
