JOB SUMMARY:
The Section Head/Shift Supervisor has all the technical skills and performs all of the duties as outlined in the Medical Technologist/Histology Technician job descriptions, except the Section Head/Shift Supervisor is the technical expert for their section/shift and is responsible for the management of the section/shift and for participating in the management of the laboratory as a whole. The Section Head/Shift supervisor interacts with patient populations from neonate to elderly;
with patients of all types of illnesses.
