Summary:
Responsible for oversight of day-to-day tasks for CNAs in the unit. Acts as a resource to CNAs in the unit to assist, guide and develop where needed. Performs various administrative and basic patient care duties to include answering call lights and voceras, conducting and documenting vital signs, performing accu-checks, changing and making beds, transporting patients, and assisting with lifting patients in and out of bed. Provides activities for daily living to the patient that include bathing, feeding, and dressing. This position will process medical orders and utilization of computer for input and maintenance of patient medical information, answers phones for the department, orders and stocks supplies, and maintains equipment inventory, clear hallways and clean storerooms. Greets guests such as physicians, patient families and visitors. Corresponds with ancillary departments regarding patient care. Works closely with Physicians, RNs, LVNs, and CNAs.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Basic patient care skills required
Basic computer skills required
Knowledge of medical terminology required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Two years of hospital CNA experience, required
Previous leadership experience, preferred
Current Texas CNA certification required
Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
