Job Title:
Certified Medication Aide
Location:
Stafford Springs, CT 06076
Shift:
Full-time (36 hrs./week)
Salary:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed nurses (RN or LPN/LVN) in providing safe and ethical care to clients.
Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely, following state regulations and facility policies.
Document medication administration and any observed reactions or changes in patient condition.
Perform delegated nursing tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication carts and patient care areas.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and report any concerns or issues promptly.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification:
Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in the state of Connecticut.
Experience:
Prior experience as a Certified Medication Aide preferred.
Skills:
Knowledge of medication administration practices and procedures.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a healthcare team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Compassionate and patient-centered care approach.
Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
Legal Compliance:
Knowledge of and adherence to state regulations governing medication administration by Certified Medication Aides.
