Job Description:

Dock and warehouse associates are the backbone of Averitt facilities. Using digital scanners and other top-notch, modern equipment, dock and warehouse associates manage the day-to-day loading/unloading of freight throughout our system in a safe and professional atmosphere. Due to the familiarity of overall Averitt culture and processes, many dock and warehouse workers become top candidates for operational leadership positions.

**This position requires a Class A CDL**

Competitive pay
- Average $1,278 per week / $66,456 per year
- Pay is $23.25/hour with overtime paid at time and a half
Home daily
Monday - Friday;
8 a.M.
- 6 p.M. and Saturday from 8 a.M.
- 3 p.M.
Primarily operating a forklift (90%) and acting as a fill-in driver as needed when drivers are on vacation, out sick, short runs, etc. (10%)
Maintain and operate a heavy-duty four-wheel forklift to load, unload, and stage portable storage units
Adhere to safety and equipment maintenance regulations
Attention to detail to ensure trailers are loaded correctly
Work in inclement weather (hot in summer, cold in winter)
May be required to use computer to access customer website;
to print driver paperwork (as needed basis only). Training provided!

Must live within a 75-mile radius
Must have 6 to 11 months' verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 2 years OR 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 5 years
18 years of age
No convictions for Reckless Driving within the past 5 years
Valid CDL-A license
No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
No suspensions or revocations within the past 5 years
No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years.
No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
