Calculated Solutions Group, a leading Staffing Agency in Birmingham, is currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our clients growing team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or construction plans to determine specifications and work procedures.
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and furniture.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials, such as wood, fiberglass, or drywall, using hand and power tools.
Assist in selecting and procuring materials for each project.
Install hardware, including hinges, handles, and locks.
Inspect and repair damaged structures or fixtures.
Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Carpenter.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or construction plans.
Proficient in using hand and power tools.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
