Capital Project Engineer – Chemical Industry Leader
We are seeking a seasoned Capital Project Engineer to spearhead substantial capital projects across multiple facilities within our global chemical operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional eager to manage impactful projects in chemical processing, energy utilities, and material handling equipment sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed engineering scopes and cost estimations to respond efficiently to internal requests.
Manage all aspects of capital projects, including project planning, contractor oversight, and bid analysis, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Engage with external suppliers, engineering consultants, and construction contractors, while also liaising with environmental departments and regulatory bodies.
Regularly update project status, monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, and ensure strict cost control measures are in place.
Conduct energy consumption analyses, promoting energy conservation and optimizing operational costs related to energy usage.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project engineering, ideally within the chemical, pulp &
paper, refinery, or similar industries.
Strong project management skills and proficiency in CAD and Oracle systems.
Desirable:
PMP certification.
Must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.
