Job Description:
The Sr. Project Manager in Muscatine is responsible for leading capital equipment projects within the Kraft Heinz plant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, particularly within the food processing equipment industry, and will be proficient in managing large projects in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing plant support through capital project management, leading projects from development through to installation and completion, and ensuring successful project execution by collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead capital equipment projects from conception to completion.
Create and present supporting project documentation to obtain necessary approvals.
Conduct periodic project meetings to provide critical updates.
Meet regularly with vendors to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Oversee installation processes and ensure all new equipment is properly identified with asset tags.
Plant Support:
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures.
Provide support in sourcing and providing equipment details or drawings.
Develop and provide plant layouts as required.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, specifically with capital equipment projects.
Experience with food processing equipment is mandatory.
Experience with facilities-related projects is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong large project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to produce quality results in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Teams.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Onsite presence a minimum of 4 days per week.
Over 10 years of experience leading capital equipment projects.
Strong skills in managing large-scale projects.
