NielsenIQ's Business Intelligence Team works with companies to provide critical business intelligence through reporting, insights and thought leadership. Our intelligence help clients set their execution plans, track them in important business topics such as distribution, market expansion, pricing strategies, launching of new products, promotions and determining what products you ultimately see on the shelf and online. Our Business Intelligence team members are experts on NielsenIQ Solutions and Services and are viewed as trusted partners by our clients at all levels from C-Suite to execution teams.
This is a high impact/visibility position leading the Business Intelligence Team, which works with our clients as consultants, tools experts, and the voice of NielsenIQ. The successful candidate will work cross functionally with others across all levels of the organization.
We are looking for someone with extensive previous experience in business intelligence with exceptional acumen and skills - passionate about servicing/consulting clients, growing the business and developing frameworks for North American clients to help the organization drive strategic business outcomes, strengthen Business Intelligence as a Center of Excellence, and enable data driven insights. The incumbent will also lead the teams that work as Technical support to clients that use NielsenIQ Data Direct Manager, a tool that helps clients to ingest data direct to the client own data lakes and that becomes one of the foundational deliveries for NIQ.

Responsibilities
As leader of our Business Intelligence team, you are accountable for driving organizational change through efficiencies in automation, process improvement and technology integration. In addition, you will lead a team responsible for driving day-to-day relationships and insights, the overall customer experience, and NielsenIQ’s impact on our clients.
Team Leadership &
Collaboration:
Business intelligence leaders work with cross-functional teams, so strong leadership and collaboration skills are essential.
Guide and motivate your team, foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, and collaborate with stakeholders across different departments
Lead all aspects of hiring, onboarding, training, ongoing staff development, and workforce management to drive high levels of efficiency and employee engagement
Build a highly performing and diverse team in the market, working cross-functionally to exceed client expectations
Business Acumen &
BI Execution:
Understanding the business landscape and having a deep knowledge of your organization's goals, strategies, and industry.
Connect data-driven insights to business objectives and make informed decisions that drive growth and profitability.
Drive execution excellence of the large Business Intelligence team in North America, both onshore (75 people) and offshore (200 people), ensuring the team is solving client needs with speed and thoroughness, continually improving client satisfaction and delivering best in class analytics, that supports clients' businesses to drive client satisfaction (measured by NPS scores)
Lead the Business Intelligence transformation roadmap, clearly articulating the vision and inspiring teams to drive the change agenda
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer and employee experience
Develop and drive advanced standards for high-quality deliverables

Qualifications
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
As a business intelligence leader, you should have a strong foundation in data analysis techniques and the ability to derive insights from complex data sets. This includes skills in statistical analysis, data modeling, data visualization, and data interpretation.
Technical Proficiency in Data Governance and Management:
Knowledge of data governance principles, data quality management, data security, and privacy regulations is important. You should be able to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data assets within your organization.
Communication and Visualization:
As a leader, you need to effectively communicate complex ideas and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong presentation and data visualization skills will help you convey your findings in a clear and compelling manner.
Strategic Thinking:
A business intelligence leader should have a strategic mindset and the ability to align data initiatives with the organization's overall strategy. This includes identifying new opportunities, anticipating future trends, and developing long-term data-driven strategies.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or business administration required, MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
10+ years' experience in Business Intelligence in similar companies or clients
7+ years' experience in executive level leadership across direct, regional, and cross-functional teams
Experience in managing, motivating, developing &
inspiring large teams, including leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
Experience of BI tools, applications for automation, analytics, reporting and database technologies, and programming languages.
Experience with Microsoft Stack including but not limited to SharePoint, Tableau, Power BI, Business Central, SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation, reporting, and analysis.
Exemplary problem-solving skills, identifying root cause and solutions through a high level of reasoning skills
Creative, high energy, self-starter comfortable running programs independently and interfacing with multiple levels and functions
Ability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Ability to handle ambiguity.
Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
