Job Description
AECOM Sports practice is looking for a creative and experienced Business Development Specialist based in Los Angeles, CA. This person will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential clients, creating and implement marketing and sales strategies, coordinating with marketing staff, writing, managing marketing materials.

Responsibilities
Identify opportunities (personally and in collaboration with associate principals &
principals), engage these opportunities via phone, email and in person.
Sales &
Client Meetings:
Conducting joint business development calls with opportunities from initial contact, discovery up to an initial contract (i.E. Feasibility study). Then following up to ensure opportunity progresses and client is satisfied.
Managing marketing staff/tasks to effectively and efficiently respond to RFP’s. Priority opportunities will be from contact to contract.
Research and Open New Markets:
Research, identify lists, build contacts, strategic alliances, build relationships and follow up in order to open new markets (i.E. Mixed use, hospitality and higher education).
Strategic and Business Develop Planning:
Jointly defining sales &
business objectives, creating &
assessing strategies, developing plans, prioritizing and executing the business development tasks.
Opportunity Management:
Manage and stay on track of all business opportunities within our Buildings + Places practice (including reporting). Manage and mentor, and train current staff.
