We are seeking a dynamic and multi-talented Business Development Associate to join our team. This role combines elements of business development, proposal management, and technical writing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proposal writing and coordination, experience in business development, technical writing skills, and an understanding of recruiting processes. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and submission of proposals, including writing, editing, and coordinating input.
Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs to understand requirements and develop compliant and compelling proposals.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical staff, and other stakeholders to gather information and develop proposal content.
Develop and manage proposal schedules, ensuring timely submission of all deliverables.
Maintain a proposal library and database, ensuring all relevant documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Identify and research new business opportunities, including government contracts and commercial projects.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Assist in the creation and execution of business development strategies and plans.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
Prepare and deliver presentations internally and to prospective clients and partners.
Create, edit, and format Standard Operating Agreements (SOPs), technical documents, including white papers, technical reports, and user manuals.
Ensure all technical documentation is clear, concise, and accurate.
Work with multiple teams to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into accessible language.
Coordinate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
Source, screen, and interview candidates for various positions within the company.
Manage the recruiting process, including job postings, candidate communication, and interview scheduling.
Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
Collaborate with HR to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
Must attend customer engagements, local events, and industry conferences as reqiured.
Willingness to travel as required (anticipated to be less than 10%).
Additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, English, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, business development, technical writing, and recruiting.
Proven track record of successfully managing and winning proposals.
Strong technical writing and editing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with proposal management software.
