Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeping Clerk to manage and maintain our financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles. This role involves processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct account and comply with legal requirements.
Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Maintain and update accounting records and files.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Respond to client and vendor inquiries, resolving any discrepancies or issues.
Support the accounting team with various administrative and clerical tasks.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Proven experience 1-2 Yearsas a Bookkeeping Clerk or in a similar role.
Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, Sage).
Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
