Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeping Clerk to join our finance team. The Bookkeeping Clerk will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for numbers and a desire to gain experience in bookkeeping.
Responsibilities:
Record financial transactions in appropriate ledgers, journals, and accounting software
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payments, and collections
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and documents
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
Prepare and submit financial reports as requested
Assist with payroll processing and related tasks
Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders
Support the Accounting Manager and finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Minimum of2+ yearsexperience in bookkeeping or accounting is advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
