Talent Masters is partnering witha premierbirthing center focused on personalized care and compassion, in their search for a dedicated Birthing Assistant to join theirdynamic team of caregivers. In this role, you will work alongside midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionalsto provide exceptional support to expecting mothers and their families during the birthing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on assistance and emotional support to mothers in labor, ensuring their comfort and well-beingthroughout the birthing process.
Educate and guide families on birthing techniques, breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum health.
Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and physicians to facilitate smooth and safe deliveries, anticipating andaddressing patient needs promptly.
Assist with initial assessments and care of newborns, including vital sign checks and basic procedures under thedirection of healthcare professionals.
Advocate for the wishes and preferences of the birthing family, ensuring they feel empowered and informedthroughout their experience.
Ensure birthing suites and common areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN):
Preferred candidates will have practicalexperience and training in patient care, particularly in obstetrics or pediatrics.
Demonstrate exceptional empathy and emotional intelligence, understanding the sensitivity and importance ofthe birthing experience for families.
Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team, fostering trust and cooperation.
Possess a warm and calming demeanor, able to provide encouragement and reassurance during challengingmoments.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure and adapting to changing circumstances.
Strive for excellence in patient care, adhering to best practices and ethical standards at all times.
