Bank Controller - To 130k - Hybrid Remote - Job 2934

The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Bank Controller role located in the Rochester, NY market. The position is responsible for financial and regulatory reporting, general ledger, and mortgage accounting.
The opportunity has a generous salary of up to $130K and a benefits package. (This is a hybrid remote position – must live near Rochester, NY).
Bank Controller responsibilities include:
Responsible for the Bank’s accounting functions, including principles/practices/procedures and initiatives.
Monthly, quarterly, and annual transactions.
Ensuring general ledger accuracy.
Overseeing complex transactions including ALLL, non-accrual loans, TDRs, foreclosures, deferred loan fees/costs, and mortgage servicing rights.
Preparing internal and external reports including GAAP financials, Call reports, Board reports, regulatory reports, and 1099’s.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial field.
Five or more years of experience in the financial field, preferably commercial bank.
CPA desirable.
Experience with general ledger, Excel and Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word.
Strong understanding of accounting concepts (GAAP) and control requirements for financial institutions.
Ability to work independently.
