Companyis seeking a full-time automotive technician to work at our very busy state-of-the-art dealership. Previous experience with hi-line cars is a plus. Attention to detail and providing outstanding customer service is a must. The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. A technician is expected to perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and be able and willing to work on all assigned work given to them. Essential Functions:
Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take vehicle to stall area. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Communication with parts department to obtain needed parts Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by supervisor. Examine the vehicle to determine if additional work is needed.
Other Duties:
Read manufacturer's drawings and manuals
Basic computer and internet literacy
Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
Drive manual transmission vehicles
Use computer diagnostic equipment
Requirements
High School diploma or the equivalent ASE certification preferred Proficient mechanical skills Ability to collaborate with the public and other dealership personnel Must have valid CT driver's license and maintain an acceptable safe driving record in order to drive our customers vehicles
Automotive Diagnostics:
5 years (Preferred)
Automotive Repair:
5 years (Preferred)
BMW Technician:
3 years (Preferred)
