About this position
This role involves managing the procurement process, including purchase requisitions, sourcing materials, and coordinating supply chain operations across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to analyze data effectively. Responsibilities include expediting purchase orders, maintaining accurate system data, administering supplier evaluations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support supply chain projects. Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and ISO standards is essential.
Job Responsibilities
Process purchase requisitions within a 24-hour timeline, ensuring timely follow-up.
Maintain a continuous flow of materials by executing purchase requisitions for various items.
Focus on achieving on-time delivery performance and update system data accurately.
Administer supplier surveys, recommend changes to the Approved Vendor List (AVL), and issue Design Request Change forms as needed.
Provide primary support for processing requisitions from the Purchasing Mailbox and offer timely feedback to address inquiries.
Analyze and maintain key data fields in the computer system, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and ISO requirements.
Skills/Requirements
2 to 4 years of experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MRP, ERP, and Microsoft Office (Excel/Word);
familiarity with M2K ispreferred.
Strong analytical skills.
APICS and CPM certifications are preferred
Ability to work well in a team environment and adhere to compliance standards.
