Cuesta Construction is looking for a full-time Assistant Superintendent to join our team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Assistant Superintendent, you will work closely with the Superintendent and project management team to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Monitor project progress and quality control to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any safety hazards or compliance issues.
Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement strategies for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Provide leadership and guidance to construction crews and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality workmanship.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
Assist in resolving any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
This is a full-time position on job sites, Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Must have 3-5 years of experience in construction supervision or management.
Must have in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to remote construction sites.
Be able to commute 20 – 40 miles.
Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
Ability to work well independently and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Will be required to stand for long periods of time.
