Job Description:

As an Assistant Principal at Dennis M. Kenney Middle School, you will play a critical role in supporting the Principal in the administration and supervision of the school.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of school programs.

- Facilitating communication between students, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

- Overseeing student discipline and attendance, ensuring adherence to school policies.

- Supporting teachers in curriculum development and instructional strategies through a clearly defined process aligned with the DeFour s Professional Learning Communities research.

- Promoting a positive school culture that aligns with our belief that 'Our Students Come First!'

- Assisting in staff development and professional growth opportunities.

- Ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

- Valid New York State certification as a School Building Leader (SBL)

The District will consider candidates who are Administrative Internship Eligible.

- Proven experience as an educator, preferably at the middle school level. (not required)

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a student-centered learning environment.
