The Assistant Dean of Nursing is an advanced role involving the management, assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of clinical and didactic activities, including orientation, staff development and competency assessments.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate instructor faculty hiring and continuing employment for didactic and clinical courses
Work with clinical team on securing clinical placements
Monitor Castlebranch
Supervise all staff at extension sites
Oversee the orientation of staff and provide professional development
Evaluate faculty teaching
Prioritize student issues for escalation to Associate Dean and Dean
Supervise off-campus sites in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan;
attend bi-weekly meetings at main campus in Riverdale area of The Bronx
Serve as lead support and resource person for all off-campus sites
Liaison between extension sites and main campus
Contribute to the profession of nursing through leadership and participation in professional organizations
Assists Dean of Nursing and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Nursing
Requirements
4 years of related nursing experience
2 years in a teaching or leadership position required
Registered Nurse with NYS license, Masters in Nursing
Doctor in Nursing Practice or PhD (Preferred)
