The ACNO is responsible to organize and oversee all nursing operations of the facility under the Chief Nursing Officer's direction. The ACNO will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to HBHH's quality standards and policies. This position requires a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse who steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills.
Daily duties include:
Patient Assessments, Medication Management, Accurate documentation, Milieu Management, team leadership skills, crisis intervention, health education to patients/families.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with HBHH's policies and procedures.
You will ensure that continuous performance improvement initiatives are designed to measure and improve the quality of care and are consistent with the organization priorities
Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the CNO as necessary, concerning the operation of the nursing department. Ensures follow-up to patient complaints.
Participate in facility surveys and develop methods of communication of nursing services to other departments.
Familiar with JCAHO standards, National Patient's Safety Goals, Infection control, and other compliances.
Assist the PI/Quality assurance in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified issues.
May be asked to perform additional duties.
Work Environment
This position requires regular walking to various locations within the facility.
Requirements
Must possess a current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Team Player
Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).
Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education:
Must have completed an RN program at an accredited vocational schools, college, or university
Current Registered Nurse license without restrictions
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
Master's degree in nursing or another appropriate postgraduate health science degree is required or pursuing a Masters Degree proof of enrollment with a written plan to advanced degree completion in 2 years.
