As an Assembly Technician, you will play a vital role in the production of advanced transit buses under the Xcelsior® and Xcelsior CHARGE® brands. As an Assembly Technician at New Flyer, you will be responsible for assembling and installing various components of transit buses, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will contribute to the overall success of the production process. Responsibilities
Perform assembly and installation of components according to specifications and work orders
Inspect parts and components for quality and accuracy
Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues and challenges
Support continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and efficiency
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical or vocational training in a relevant field preferred
Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment is an asset
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of technical drawings and instructions
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
