Raindrop is a fast-growing agency and the leader in Marketing People Love. We are looking for an Art Director who is a talented mix of creative, strategy, and communication. As an Art Director, you will be responsible for developing concepts, directing visual executions, and styling video and photo shoots.
The ideal candidate follows design and creative trends in the industry, communicates effectively across departments, can ideate and present creative concepts, and believes in the effectiveness of a distinct and engaging brand.
In this role, you will work closely with the Copy, Social and Production Teams to guide the art direction from concept to execution for our video and photo productions to ensure assets are optimized to meet creative excellence and client needs. You will sometimes be required to be on set for production days.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide the visual direction on multiple projects from concepting, through production design including:
Concept Ideation
Developing tone + look and feel
Wardrobe
Set Design
Partner with the Copy Team to design decks and pitch creative concepts to clients.
Incorporate feedback from Creative Director and Associate Creative Directors.
Communicate ideas in mood boards and decks for internal teams and clients.
Deliver big ideas and creative thinking to problem-solving for our clients.
Identify Production Design needs and collaborate with producer for each unique project including but not limited to:
Set Design
Set Builds
Backdrops
Prop Sourcing
Product Styling
Collaborate with photographers to conceptualize ideas for photo campaigns.
Assist at a high-level with identified needs on production day depending on the project, i.E. setting up the set and any necessary styling.
Hands on styling for photo and video shoots.
Requirements
3-5 years of art direction experience.
Design background is preferred.
Skilled in Adobe CC, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Experience in Sketchup is a plus.
Ability to move over 30 pounds for set dressing and on set days.
Basic understanding of cinematography and photography.
Must be able to work in-person at our San Diego Production Studio.
Agency experience is required.
