The Area Manager role consists of an individual who can improve the consumer buying experience by creating merchandising solutions and driving sales in the assigned stores. The Area Manager is responsible for training and coaching a team of remote merchandisers. The Area Manager will also need to maintain a high level of communication through email, phone, and personal contact with their assigned Territory Manager and Merchandising Team. Other duties will include but are not limited to completing surveys and audits, cultivating relationships with in-store management, executing merchandising resets, building retail displays, proper implementation of plan-o-grams, new item placement, void corrections, and stock rotation. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively lead and build remote work teams with excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, with a strong attention to detail, works well in independent situations, and has the ability to build relationships with business partners and their remote team. This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Performance Incentive Plan.
Maintain store presentation standards through building displays, fixture installation, store sets, shelf maintenance, retrofits, inventory reconciliation, display maintenance, and POP installationIdentify opportunities for incremental display space to drive volume goalsCover multiple stores daily on an assigned routeBuild relationships with business partners and store managementAssist and monitor customer satisfactionCollaborate with manager on all significant initiatives (new product introductions, contests, etc.)Maintain full distribution and display of products on assigned accountsConduct surveys and auditsActs as a mentor to Merchandisers within assigned area;

Experience and Credentials
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience requiredMust be 18 or older1 to 2 years previous merchandising, grocery or retail sales experience preferred1 to 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably with remote workersAbility to lift up to 35 pounds and be on feet for 3 to 8 hoursMust have reliable transportationMust have reliable access to a computer, internet and printer to use for company-related businessMust be computer literate and able to operate a smart phone or tablet utilizing different applications and internet for company business, like ordering, GPS tracking, and time recordingMust be able to read, speak and understand English
