About the Role
Mori is seeking a Field Technician experienced in both commercial field operations and research trials with a focus in leafy greens. The role is based out of our Salinas, CA office, but will require regular (50-100%) travel throughout California, Oregon, Arizona and Nevada depending on the growing season.
What You Will Do
Execute transfer and application of Mori Silk product during leafy green harvests
Execute pilots of new and current products with new produce growers, including information gathering
Work collaboratively with various operational and R&
D functions at Mori
Assist in report generation from new data packages when relevant
Assist in the design of pilot activities with Mori crews to be implemented with new grower partners
Support the scaling and service activities with various grower partners as directed
Interact with our internal FSQ teams and aiding in data gathering or SOP adjustment when necessary
Interact with external FSQ teams when relevant
Represent Mori in a technical and operational capacity in-field with customers and partners
Participate in handoffs between product development and commercial activities
Contribute to a highly enthusiastic, respectful, “roll up your sleeves” and welcoming environment
Travel to relevant growing regions as needed, expecting frequent and consistent travel, particularly seasonally
Work overtime, including overnights and weekends, depending on the location and harvest schedule as needed

What You'll Bring
Associates Degree and 1-3+ years relevant experience
Willingness to learn Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety regulations
Experience working in agricultural production or extension services
Experience with Microsoft, Google suite and Dropbox or similar, preferred
Fluency in Spanish and English required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Ability to spend most of your work day engaged in physical activity
Valid driver's license and good driving record
