Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Representative to join our finance team. The Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, and resolving billing discrepancies. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients.
Responsibilities:
Process daily invoices and statements accurately and efficiently.
Post payments received from customers to their respective accounts.
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.
Communicate with customers via phone, email, or mail to address billing inquiries and collect outstanding balances.
Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve customer issues and improve overall billing processes.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial role preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
