Job Description
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our finance team as an Accounts Payable Clerk. In this integral role, you will be responsible for managing the hotel's accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and maintaining financial integrity. This is a hybrid position, working remotely and in the office in Kennebunk, Maine
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
Receive and review invoices, ensuring they are accurate, properly coded, and in compliance with established policies.
Enter invoices into the accounting system and prepare them for payment processing.
Vendor Relations:
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving payment-related issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure accurate and up-to-date account information.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Expense Reports:
Review and process employee expense reports, verifying receipts and compliance with company policies.
Ensure timely reimbursement of employee expenses.
Record Keeping:
Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Assist with month-end closing activities and provide necessary documentation for audits.
Disburses petty cash by recording entry;
verifying documentation.
Reporting:
Generate regular reports on accounts payable status, providing insights into outstanding payments and expenses.
Meets the company’s end-of-month closing deadlines, working longer hours on occasion to ensure completion if needed.
